Catapult PR Launches Castles & Historic Homes Research Survey Findings
Hugely creative and strategically on-point tourism, heritage and cultural PR agency, Catapult PR, has further strengthened the credentials of this side to its business, whilst building upon its national CIPR Excellence Award 2020 finalist position in the ‘Best Arts, Culture, Sport or Entertainment’ PR campaign category.
Having again proven to be one of the UK’s leading experts in tourism, heritage and cultural PR, as endorsed by its 2018 National CIPR Excellence Award for ‘Best Travel, Leisure or Tourism PR Campaign’, the Lancashire-based PR firm has launched the second in a series of consumer insight survey booklets that can enrich knowledge in these specific tourism sectors.
Its ‘Castles and Historic Houses’ report draws on consumer research amongst 1000 consumers, which assessed attitudes towards castle hotels, historic castle visitor attractions and historic and heritage homes. Catapult PR commissioned a series of questions, put to UK consumers by an independent research company, and has since crunched the data. This provides national insight, details of key regional variations and instances of splits of viewpoint between different age, income or gender-based demographic segments, all communicated in a highly vistual way, within one easy-to-understand booklet and resource.
Adding value to this, its free-to-download booklet also offers complimentary PR and marketing tips, to help castles and historic houses, properties and heritage attractions think through their product development, service delivery, events programmes and marketing messaging.
Catapult PR already works with many heritage attractions and has done for many years. It is a double-gold PR award-winner for two Cumbrian heritage attractions, has represented a variety of heritage attractions through its past work for the South Lakes Tourism Action Group and the Western Lake District Tourism Partnership and has worked directly for a variety of leading attraction and museums in the heritage sector, over the past 20 years.
Since 2015, it has handled PR for Langley Castle Hotel in Northumberland, making the castle a regional tourism, B2C campaign and cultural PR winner in 2017 and a national tourism PR award winner in 2018.
Catapult PR’s aim is to work with more heritage attractions, historic homes, castles and museums across the country, with a particular target being those heritage attractions and castle hotels in South Wales, specifically Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.
Catapult PR’s managing director, Jane Hunt, says: “If you wish to know the type of events that visitors want to attend at your heritage attraction or historic home or castle, what they feel about associations with ghosts, or what they think you should be doing to entice them, download our booklet. If you then wish to work with us, allowing us to create a dynamic and potentially award-winning PR, content marketing and social media campaign for your venue or hotel, you can simply get in touch. We are not applying any pressure, but we are reminding people that, if they want an agency with all the skills and expertise in the heritage sector and tourism to boot, we should be at the top of their list. Nobody else is doing what we are doing, because few have the credentials to back it up.”
